Flames

What burns in the fireplace?

The flames of a fireplace make a house warm, inviting, and comfortable. Here are the guiding thoughts to this blog so you can feel at home as you read The Table.

Have you ever run into a moment that felt foreign?

story that jumped out at you?

A testimony that was difficult to rationalize?

Or a song that hit something deep inside you, perhaps it may have just been an image that struck awe. An idea for a poem, a lyric line, a drawing, or simply a quote came to mind and it just could not be denied that you were feeling your way toward God.

We have. We are sure you have as well.

At The Table, we, the contributors, share our stories, thoughts, devotions, testimonies, songs, poems, lyrics, artwork, photos, etc. with each other and with you. Like a family sitting down to enjoy a meal or a couple about to bask in each other’s presence, The Table is a place of sharing personal experiences with one another.

For support, for encouragement, in the hopes that through this we can come to understand one another, be able to relate, and grow in unity and love.

“Let our editors call for articles giving living experience. Let the ministers regard it as a part of their duty to send short articles of experience to our papers. It will be food for those who are laboring in isolated places, in foreign countries and the islands of the sea, to hear in this way from their friends with whom they have been associated. These experiences may be to the readers as a love feast, because the writers have been eating the bread which came down from heaven.” Ellen G. White. Counsels to Writers and Editors (Kindle Locations 157-160). Ellen G. White Estate, Inc.

So come and join us at The Table, where we talk about when we ran into the Spirit last week at the grocery store, in the classroom at Religious Ideology Behind the Holocaust, or in Hawaii.
